Volume 27 — Number 2 (May/August 2026)
It is with great satisfaction that we present to the national and international legal community the second issue of volume 27 of the Electronic Journal of Procedural Law (REDP), referring to the four-month period from May to August 2026. Published uninterruptedly since 2007 by the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Procedural Law of the Faculty of Law of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), the periodical has as its patron the late Professor José Carlos Barbosa Moreira, whose memory and work continue to inspire the scientific rigor and intellectual generosity that characterize these pages.
Classified as Qualis A1 by CAPES in the area of Law, REDP is today one of the most consolidated references in procedural matters in the Portuguese-speaking space, with a regular presence in international indexing databases such as DOAJ, Latindex, Scopus, EBSCO, Crossref, Google Scholar, ROAD-ISSN and Diadorim, among others. The journal is a signatory to the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) and adopts a continuous submission flow, open access policy, and double-blind peer review process, in strict alignment with the best contemporary editorial practices.
This issue confirms the plural and cosmopolitan vocation of the journal. There are twenty scientific articles, distributed among doctrinal studies, jurisprudential analyses, empirical research and jurimetric investigations, written in Portuguese, Spanish and English by authors linked to institutions in Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Vietnam and Ukraine.
The set reflects the main thematic axes that mobilize contemporary processualism: the system of precedents and the tension between stability and jurisprudential evolution; dejudicialization and multidoor justice; artificial intelligence applied to decision-making activity; the protection of fundamental procedural rights; the collective, structural and social security process; and the dialogue between civil procedure and comparative law.
The texts gathered demonstrate, once again, the vitality of contemporary procedural research and the ability of REDP to offer a qualified space for dialogue between magistrates, professors, researchers and professionals of public and private law. In this issue, the journal's commitment to internationalization, interdisciplinarity and rigorous treatment of topics sensitive to Procedural Law in its constitutional, comparative and transnational dimension is reiterated.
I thank all the authors for the trust placed in the journal, the anonymous reviewers for the careful evaluation work and the editorial team. I invite the legal community to read these essays carefully, in the certainty that here are substantive contributions to the procedural thinking of our time.
