This article by chronicling the opening to the new constitutional moment towards the end of the exceptional regime installed in 1964, aims to uncover the directions that interspersed in this context, initially took the work of Afonso Arinos committee (1985), based on the reference to the files contained in the “Memória da Constituinte” collection at the museum of the Republic, located in Rio de Janeiro. At the end of this exploratory research, the idea is that by making the said information better known, this favors interest in inquiries regarding the countless path that open from there, thus illuminating a phase of national constitutional history of high value, but mostly eclipsed by the National Constituent Assembly (1987-1988).
