Resumo
O trabalho identifica o papel desempenhado pela Escola Superior de Guerra na articulação das elites burocráticas e econômicas do Brasil no processo de sustentação teórica do regime autoritário instaurado em 1964. O estudo realizou uma revisão bibliográfica e adotou uma estratégia empírica de pesquisa, cujas fontes primárias obtidas nos arquivos da Escola Superior de Guerra indicaram que a ESG ocupou um lugar privilegiado para a sustentação do regime.

Abstract
The paper identifies the role played by the Superior School of War in the articulation of the bureaucratic and economic elites of Brazil in the process of theoretical support of the authoritarian regime established in 1964. The study carried out a bibliographical review and adopted an empirical research strategy whose primary sources obtained in the archives of the Superior School of War indicated that the ESG occupied a privileged place for the support of the regime.
