The "Maps of (In)Justice" project, developed by the Center for Racial Justice and Law at FGV Direito SP, addresses the issue of racial violence and police lethality in Brazil, specifically focusing on the State of São Paulo. It emerged from the need for accessible and comprehensible data on racial violence. The platform created is not just a repository of information but a tool of resistance that offers a detailed analysis of variables related to racial violence, combining official and primary data to map locations of violence and dissect variables. This article, as a preliminary product to the platform's publication, shares reflections and methodologies adopted, highlighting the importance of overcoming institutional opacity and stimulating concrete actions against the impunity of police violence.
