Guided by studies of discursive semiotics aimed at space, this paper analyzes three dissertations from PROFLETRAS – Mestrado Profissional em Letras em Rede Nacional –defended by teachers who work in the states of Pará and Acre, in the years 2017 and 2019. The objective was to analyze the meanings that are produced in the school space where they work and/or develop interventional practices. We sought to observe the possible reiteration of images of public schools characterized by deprivation, to be inferred from the narratives and enunciative choices projected in the texts. The dissertations analyzed explain performances carried out in the utopian space (GREIMAS, 1985), that of the classroom, or the construction of utopias to be achieved through the theoretical-practical training offered by the aforementioned master's program. Inserted within the scope of ongoing research, the presented section focused on images that would be produced by schools located in the North region.
