How has the Federal Council of Medicine (CFM) reflected neoconservative strategies in the anti-gender agenda? Based on this question, this study examines the intertwining of political and religious power in Brazil, drawing on recent attempts to roll back sexual and reproductive rights that have been won in recent years. The hypothesis is that there is a political-religious articulation that seeks to institutionalize control over bodies by suppressing such rights. The methodological approach combines bibliographic research, seeking to understand the phenomenon of neoconservatism in Brazil and the use of the anti-gender agenda, with documentary research on resolutions issued by the CFM and bills surrounding these issues. It is observed that, in a scenario of expanding Christian morality in politics, the CFM, through neoconservative actors and evangelical and Catholic entities, has produced obstacles to the rights of women and the LGBTQIAPN+ population.
