Balaio:
1) A term originating from ancient Brittany, whose etymology initially points to the concept of a broom;
2) A basket made from palm or oil palm leaves, quite popular among some Indigenous tribes in both Bolivia and Brazil;
3) A container often used to offer gifts to one’s ancestors, particularly in the rituals of Afro-Brazilian religions.
