This study analyzes how the role of women in urban planning contributes to more inclusive and equitable cities, promoting fundamental rights such as safety, adequate housing, and mobility. The research addresses the historical exclusion of women and minorities in urbanism, traditionally dominated by a male perspective, and examines the solutions proposed by female architects, urban planners, and activists to meet the needs of vulnerable groups. Using a deductive methodology, based on a literature review and analysis of public policies in cities like São Paulo and Vienna, the results show that gender-sensitive urban interventions strengthen the protection of fundamental rights, ensuring a basic standard of living. It concludes that these policies are essential to ensure a fairer and more dignified urban life for all citizens.
