Modos de ser de profissionais de enfermagem em uma unidade de pronto-atendimento [Modes of being among nursing personnel in an emergency unit]

Objetivo: desvelar os sentidos do modo-de-ser de profissionais de enfermagem em uma unidade de pronto-atendimento do interior do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Método: investigação de natureza qualitativa, com abordagem fenomenológica e referencial teórico-metodológico fundamentado em Martin Heidegger. As participantes do estudo, realizado em 2012 e 2013, foram 14 mulheres que faziam parte da equipe de enfermagem. Resultados: a análise dos depoimentos revelou que as mulheres se mostraram companheiras, amigas e afetuosas na relação com o outro membro da equipe de saúde, em um cuidado direcionado ao cliente e ao colega de trabalho/amigo. Conclusão: desvela-se que, ao cuidar do outro, se suprime seu próprio cuidado, revelando um movimento para a impessoalidade. Reitera-se a importância do ser - mulher - profissional de enfermagem cuidar de si mesma, para que realize o cuidado ao outro com completude, e sentir-se plena cuidando de sua saúde e de seu bem-estar.
ABSTRACT
Objective: to unveil the meanings of nurses’ modes of being in an emergency unit in Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil, in 2012 and 2013. Method: this qualitative, phenomenological study took an approach based theoretically and methodologically on Martin Heidegger. The study participants were 14 women members of the nursing team. Results: transcript analysis revealed that the women were companionable, friendly and affectionate in their relations with the other member of the team in care directed to the client and to the coworker/friend. Conclusion: It was unveiled that, in caring for others, they suppressed care for themselves, revealing a movement towards impersonality. It is important that beings-women-nursing personnel care for themselves in order to care completely for others and to feel fulfilled caring for their own health and well-being.
RESUMEN
Objetivo: desvelar los significados de la manera de ser de los profesionales de enfermería en una unidad de emergencia del interior del Estado de Río de Janeiro - Brasil. Método: investigación cualitativa con enfoque fenomenológico y referencial teórico-metodológico basado en el método de Martin Heidegger. Los participantes del estudio, realizado en 2012 y 2013, fueron 14 mujeres que formaban parte del equipo de enfermería. Resultados: el análisis de las declaraciones reveló que las mujeres mostraron ser compañeras, amigas y afectuosas en relación con el otro miembro del equipo de salud; el cuidado se dirigía al cliente y al compañero de trabajo/amigo. Conclusión: revela que, al cuidar del otro, se suprime su propio cuidado, revelando un movimiento de impersonalidad. Se reitera la importancia de que el ser - mujer - profesional de enfermería cuide de sí misma para realizar el cuidado al otro con plenitud y para sentirse plena al cuidar de su salud y bienestar.
