The 49th dossier of Soletras journal examines the renewal of contemporary Children’s and Youth Literature (LIJ), exploring narrative strategies, interarts dialogues, and themes such as diversity, decoloniality, and social issues. The articles address censorship, LGBTQIA+ representation, racism, Indigenous identities, migration, ethics in reader formation, and literary adaptations, among others. They also analyze classical and contemporary works, emphasizing their role in fostering critical thinking among young readers. The dossier includes an interview with writer Roseana Murray and book reviews, highlighting LIJ’s importance as a tool for social transformation
