O DESENVOLVIMENTO DAS LÍNGUAS IBÉRICAS E A POLÍTICA LINGUÍSTICA DO GOVERNO CENTRAL ESPANHOL

A existência de uma política linguística central e homogeneizanteassim como foi na Espanha em momentos específicos, exige,obviamente, um governo central. Apenas a existência de um governocentral, contudo, não resulta necessariamente em uma política denormatização da língua. Isto é, para que tal política ocorra se requerainda um projeto político centralizador. Na Espanha, tal projeto seapresentou em raros momentos, não possuindo uma continuidadeprolongada. Mesmo quando essas políticas ocorreram, elas acabarampor não gerar os resultados pretendidos, por vários motivos, dentreos quais estão elementos da formação histórica daquele país.Grandes diferenças político-culturais convivem naquele território,cujos povos foram unificados, a partir do século XV, por umprojeto de Estado-Nação; projeto que, aliás, teve na Espanha um desenvolvimentoprecoce. Essa unificação política que não ocorreu instantaneamentena prática social, preservou, até nossos dias, algumaautonomia dos governos regionais – ainda que involuntariamente,em alguns momentos. Assim, se levássemos a fundo o tema políticalinguística na Espanha, deveríamos poder apresentar a situação daspolíticas linguísticas em cada uma dessas regiões.Downloads
