AS RELAÇÕES ENTRE COGNIÇÃO E AFETIVIDADE EM LA: A INFLUÊNCIA DE VYGOTSKY NESSA ABORDAGEM TEMÁTICA

A questão da afetividade tem sido contemporaneamente tema depesquisas em Lingüística Aplicada (LA). Trata-se de um assunto complexoque entrou em voga nas discussões de LA há algumas décadas. Ointeresse pelos aspectos afetivos não foi uma herança da Lingüística, umavez que muitos estudos lingüísticos assentaram-se predominantemente naconcepção cognitivista, inscrita na tradição cartesiana, que pressupõe adicotomia entre afetividade e cognição, considerando a linguagem comoproduto da atividade racional do indivíduo. Nessa perspectiva, razão eafeto diferenciam-se, havendo explicitamente a primazia daquela em detrimentodeste. (Rodriguez, 1994)
