TIPOLOGIA LINGÜÍSTICA LÍNGUAS ANALÍTICAS E LÍNGUAS SINTÉTICAS
Abstract
O termo “tipologia” foi usado pela primeira vez em 1901 (porvon der Gabelentz). Fora da lingüística é sinônimo de “taxionomia”e “classificação” de fenômenos em “tipos”, particularmente tipos estruturais(como, p. ex., na biologia). Os primeiros registros do termona literatura lingüística datam das teses apresentadas pela EscolaLingüística de Praga no Primeiro Congresso de Filólogos Eslavos.As definições lingüísticas para “tipologia” partem da hipótese de queas línguas naturais variam, sendo possível, no entanto, considerar váriasdependências dentre as propriedades variantes e propor “tipos”(GREENBERG, 1974).
