Abstract
A modernidade que se instalou hegemônica no cenário ocidentala partir da segunda metade do século XVIII trouxe em seu bojoa dicotomização proposta por Sócrates, Platão e Aristóteles e levadaa cabo por Descartes no século XVII, época em que se passa aação transcorrida na peça de Arthur Miller (MILLER, 1984: 85),22que, numa alusão ao maccartismo americano dos anos 50, em quesupostos comunistas eram denunciados e perseguidos, trata da perseguiçãodas bruxas, pactuadoras com o mal, por parte da comunidadepuritana na então colônia de Massachussetts na década de 1690.Downloads
