Mutações recepcionais da estética machadiana: teoria do efeito e realismo na leitura de O Alienista

O discurso literário é construído por uma linguagem que reorganiza as regras emsociedade norteadoras das ações entre os sujeitos. Na Teoria do efeito estético, Wolfgang Iser(1978) assim caracteriza a literatura e descreve o processo de interação do leitor com a obra.A partir desse quadro nocional, o artigo discutirá a novela O Alienista, examinando asestratégias artísticas do discurso ficcional de Machado de Assis, o que implica indagar oconceito de realismo, tendo em vista os vazios de um enredo que convoca o leitor a refletirsobre heterogeneidades éticas, políticas, teológicas.
