O estudo do imaginário, para Gilbert Durand, se constitui em umaapreciação arquetípica da imaginação criadora. Em suas reflexões, destacaque o homem é dotado de uma potencial faculdade simbolizadora nomeio sócio-cultural. Pensando na possibilidade de interpretação dessessímbolos e das imagens que se configuram no inconsciente coletivo – asprojeções inconscientes dos arquétipos em interação com as solicitaçõesdo meio – o antropólogo do imaginário propôs uma classificação taxionômicadas imagens do sistema antropológico, propondo-se, por exemplo,a diferenciar arquétipo, símbolo, signo e, por fim, mito.Downloads
