This article addresses the theme of Symbolic Violence in contemporary Education, aiming to investigate and comprehend the implications of this phenomenon on the formation of individuals and the construction of knowledge. Using Pierre Bourdieu's contributions as a theoretical framework, the analysis focuses on the invisible and pervasive nature of symbolic violence, which manifests through gestures, words, and structures that reinforce inequalities and hierarchies in the educational environment. The study employed a systematic literature review methodology, exploring academic papers and articles that discuss symbolic violence. The results emphasize the need to unravel the underlying complexities shaping contemporary education, as well as the importance of adopting proactive strategies to mitigate the effects of symbolic violence, promoting an inclusive, equitable, and prejudice-free educational environment. Understanding and addressing symbolic violence are crucial for ensuring education that fosters equality, academic freedom, and the full development of individuals.
