This is a review of the book “A dimensão do risco e da confiança na política da mudança climática de Anthony Giddens: o lugar do Estado, do Direito e da governança”, by Julia Martins Tiveron, whose theme deals with the divergence between conceptions of climate risk and its consequences for the development of trust among the actors involved in legal regulation. The author's analyses are accompanied by the sociology of the British theorist, Anthony Giddens, especially that presented in the work “The Politics of Climate Change”. The review presents and also analyses the book. Special attention is devoted to the openings that make it possible to rethink the traditional model of law, in the face of contemporary challenges. The landscape is that of socio-legal studies, a field marked by interdisciplinarity and the broadening of the conception of legal regulation.
