Resumo

O presente trabalho pretende tecer algumas notas epistemológicas acerca do processo de criação do conhecimento. Primeiramente, discutimos o saber científico pelo que ele tem historicamente sido em contraposição ao que chamamos de um conhecimento científico autocrítico. Depois, inspirados no debate dos Direitos Humanos e nos ensinamentos de Lyra Filho, apresentamos dois movimentos metódicos que julgamos essenciais para compreender a complexidade de qualquer objeto social: a totalização e contradição da realidade.

Abstract

The present work seeks to summarize some epistemological remarks about the creation of knowledge. Firstly, we discuss the scientifical thought by what it has historically been against what we call autocritical scientifical knowledge.  After that, inspired by our background in Human Rights Theory and by Lyra Filho's teachings, we present two methodical moments that we feel as essential to grasp the complexity of any social object: the totalization and contradiction of reality.

Alexandre Bernardino Costa, Universidade de Brasília

Possui graduação em Direito pela Universidade de Brasília (1986), mestrado em Direito pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (1992) e doutorado em Direito Constitucional pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2005). Foi Decano de Extensão da Universidade de Brasília. Atualmente é Professor Associado da Faculdade de Direito da UnB, Coordenador e Professor do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Direito Humanos e Cidadania CEAM/UnB.
