The curiosity turns to a teaching artifact: the display line fixed in the classroom, from which children's activities are hung. The article aims to explore concepts that influence daily school practices and shape the space and the fabric of the curriculum, through the display line. The study material was produced in public schools, and the procedure used was direct observation of classrooms outside of school hours. The main methodological guidance came from research into everyday life, with the display line found in classrooms described and unfolded in conversations about the practices that led to its creation, and the concepts embodied in what it communicates observed. The results provoke reflection on established regulation, instituting movements, creative gestures, the mechanics of reproduction, the instituting fabric of the curriculum, and the production of space.
