Abstract

The present work is the result of the reflection on the teacher's lack of motivation in the classroom and the almost complete emptying of the desire to continue teaching, triggered by several factors that will be explored throughout the text. This work was inspired from the supervised internship discipline in a state school in Baixada Fluminense. For this, it was necessary to search for clues left during the classes that were accompanied by the graduating, passing through not only the pedagogical work of the accompanied geography educator, but also through the school culture, classes taught and the behavior and perception of students aboutthe school and relating them with some theorists among them Nestor Kaercher, Paulo Freire and Manoel Neto.
