A compreensão da dimensão das atividades educativas em saúde é fundamental para o trabalho de enfermagem, já que estas ações visam, sobretudo, a promoção da saúde e a qualidade de vida dos usuários. Dessa forma, este artigo possui como objetivos: identificar formas como a influência histórica se apresenta no campo da educação em saúde; refletir quanto à expressão das práticas de educação em saúde na enfermagem. Conclui-se que as ações educativas em saúde sofreram inúmeras influências em sua história, entretanto, tais influências apontam para a formação de um novo paradigma para estas atividades, denominado construção compartilhada de conhecimento.
ABSTRACT
An understanding of the scope of health education activities is fundamental to the work of nursing, given that they are meant primarily to promote users’ health and quality of life. Accordingly, this study aimed to identify how the historical influence appears in the health education field, and to reflect on how health education practices are expressed in nursing. It was concluded that health education has received numerous influences in its history and that, however, those influences point to the formation of a new paradigm for these activities, called the shared construction of knowledge.

La comprensión del alcance de las actividades de educación en salud es fundamental para el trabajo de enfermería, ya que estas acciones están destinadas principalmente para promover la salud y la calidad de vida de los usuarios. Por lo tanto, este artículo tiene los siguientes objetivos: identificar las formas en que se presenta la influencia histórica en El campo de la educación para la salud; reflexionar sobre la expresión de las prácticas de educación en salud en enfermería. Llegamos a la conclusión de que la educación en materia de salud sufrió numerosas influencias en su historia, sin embargo, tales influencias apuntan para la formación de un nuevo paradigma para estas actividades, llamado construcción compartida de conocimiento.
