Objetivo: descrever a percepção das crianças hospitalizadas sobre as atividades musicais realizadas no ambiente hospitalar e analisar a relação entre música e humanização hospitalar. Método: trata-se de uma pesquisa do tipo exploratória e descritiva de abordagem qualitativa. A produção de dados ocorreu através do método da Pesquisa Convergente-Assistencial. Os participantes foram 20 crianças hospitalizadas em um hospital público do norte fluminense. Foi realizada análise de conteúdo de Bardin. O estudo foi aprovado no dia 20 de abril de 2016 pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro - Campus Macaé CAAE 53392116.8.0000.5699 parecer nº 1.509.506. Resultados: a avaliação da atividade através das entrevistas e desenhos aponta que a totalidade das crianças referiram sentirem-se mais animadas, alegres e felizes após atividade musical. Conclusão: a música pode contribuir para a humanização hospitalar, tendo aplicabilidade para crianças em diferentes faixas etárias, proporcionando prazer, redução da ansiedade e promovendo a saúde no ambiente hospitalar.
ABSTRACT
Objective: to describe child inpatients’ perceptions of musical activities in the hospital environment, and to analyze the relationship between music and humanization in hospital. Method: in this exploratory, qualitative, descriptive study, data were produced by the care-convergent research method. The subjects were 20 child inpatients at a public hospital in northern Rio de Janeiro State. Bardin content analysis was performed. The study was approved on April 20, 2016 by the research ethics committee of the Rio de Janeiro Federal University, Macaé Campus (CAAE 53392116.8.0000.5699, No. 1.509.506). Results: evaluation of the activity through interviews and drawings showed that all the children reported feeling more lively, cheerful, and happy after musical activity. Conclusion: music can contribute to humanizing the hospital, is applicable to children in different age groups, provides pleasure, reduces anxiety and promotes health in the hospital environment.

Objetivo: describir la percepción de los niños hospitalizados sobre las actividades musicales realizadas en el ambiente hospitalario y analizar la relación entre música y humanización hospitalaria. Método: se trata de una investigación del tipo exploratorio y descriptivo de enfoque cualitativo. La producción de datos ocurrió a través del método de la Investigación Convergente-Asistencial. Los sujetos fueron 20 niños hospitalizados en un Hospital Público del Norte Fluminense. Se realizó un análisis de contenido de Bardin. El estudio fue aprobado el 20 de abril de 2016 por el Comité de Ética en Investigación de la Universidad Federal de Río de Janeiro - Campus Macaé CAAE 53392116.8.00.00.5009, dictamen n ° 1.509.506. Resultados: la evaluación de la actividad a través de las entrevistas y los dibujos apunta que todos los niños dijeron sentirse más animados, alegres y felices después de la actividad musical. Conclusión: la música puede contribuir a la humanización hospitalaria, teniendo aplicabilidad para niños en diferentes edades, proporcionando placer, reducción de la ansiedad y promoviendo la salud en el ambiente hospitalario.
