The indigenous theme has been discussed in Brazilian literature since its first manifestations. For years, indigenous people became the subject of religious, political, literary, scientific and anthropological writings. This work analyzes Poranduba – a text resulting from research by Lúcia Pimentel Góes on legends, zoological and astronomical tales, indigenous songs, with marks of a cosmogony that alludes to a world created by multiple genesis and metamorphoses. It is an opera adressed to children and young people. Composed of a libretto, set to music by Villani-Côrtes, this “opera rumor” is a narrative structured by a plurality of languages. The fact is that approaching narratives reserved for such peculiar expressions, for such specific cosmologies, leads us to think about how these traces of specific signs can appear as testimonies of important representations, but always displaced from their contexts and available in other contexts. of those who were at the origin of its production. Poranduba is visited through Semiotics and Comparative Studies, seeking to trace dialogues between cultures, arts and knowledge.
