Abstract

A tentativa de apresentar Adoniran Barbosa como um defensorinvoluntário do combate ao preconceito lingüístico é, sobretudo,um meio de propiciar um novo olhar sobre a vida desse marco daMPB, estereotipado ao longo dos anos como engraçado, conferindolheo devido reconhecimento pelo trabalho social desenvolvido,mesmo que involuntariamente. Trabalho esse que ficou registradoem suas composições, dando margem a diversas interpretações.
