Democratic Education: The Imminent School Revolution, a work by sociologist Cristian Laval and educational psychologist Francis Vergne, portrays democratic education as one that breaks paradigms and, from this perspective, develops a series of arguments that support the idea of the democratic nature of education as one of the essential pillars for it to fulfill its main role, which is social and individual transformation. To this end, the authors point out that education must always envision a revolutionary character of a social, democratic and ecological nature. In order to design such democratic guidelines for education, the book is divided into five principles/chapters that point to an innovative proposal weaving dialogues between school and democracy.
