The objective of this article is to analyze artificial intelligence in the production of knowledge in Higher Education as a parameter of writing against the grain of authorial research. From the literature review, we sought to understand the difficulties and possibilities of work; the analysis of academic capitalism in the light of the intensification of the production of articles; the problematization of the production of knowledge and the quality of education. With the intensification of the academic debate about the uses and appropriations of artificial intelligence in the production of knowledge, there is an expansion of reflections on the subject, on the complexity of the use or even abuse in the scope of academic research. In this research, a theoretical approach to the theme is carried out through authors who use the concepts of knowledge production and academic capitalism. In this sense, we understand the need for funding for research aimed at artificial intelligence, the production of knowledge, and its ethical effects in the human sciences.
