The objective of this theoretical essay is to sentipensar, based on the exchange of letters, how we can exercise small poetics in teaching in the field of education. To this end, we called upon intellectuals, poets and writers who have accompanied us in this process, and we relied on concepts such as corazonar, sentipensar and engaged pedagogy to help us weave this essay, which is itself hybrid as a result of the writing choices we made. The methodological procedure that inspired this process is that of letter writing, that is, the exchange of letters to trigger what we think, feel and how we live the theme of poetics in our teaching experiences. Through the composition of the letters exchanged by the authors we analyze and propose a certain way of feeling poetics in teaching, starting from experience, understood as what affects us, as well as realizingthe commitment we need to make in search of a poetic practice attuned to social transformation and to opposing hegemonic and colonial academic ways. Therefore, the poetic dimension needs to collude with the decolonization of affectivity and the activation of local knowledge rooted on the experience of the people involved, expanding its possibilities based on the conversation between humans and non-humans in their differences.
