The 60-hour course aims to discuss the concepts of education and democracy, contextualize structural oppressions in Brazilian society and examine recent threats to democratic education in the country. Additionally, practices to promote the expansion of democratic density in educational communities are addressed, considering themes such as social movements, inclusion, gender and sexuality. The course differs from previous experiences by incorporating intersectionality as a methodology, recognizing the multiple identities of those involved in the educational process. The main results highlighted the importance of continuing the offer of the course to undergraduate students, as well as expanding the debate to education professionals working in public school networks.
