To do so, we will go through works of the 1840s, such as German Ideology. We will try to demonstrate the intricacies of Marx's critique of the rural and urban elements. By this, we also want to make it clear that what is essential for the German thinker is not so much the dominance of the city over the countryside as the suppression of the city-countryside division. The matter of political economy is already a key aspect on the matter on 1840’ s.
