The central premise of this article is to explore the implementation of sustainable urban mobility public policies through the use of multisectoral governance strategies, with a special focus on community participation. Using the inductive method, it aims to answer the following research problem: how can community organization influence urban mobility public policies to foster collective well-being in urban environments, as well as more sustainable and inclusive cities? With the exacerbation of global warming effects, intensified by urbanization processes and rampant consumption, the quality of life in urban areas has, in many cases, significantly declined. This condition is further compounded by urban planning approaches that traditionally prioritize functional city zoning over qualitative criteria, leading to issues such as traffic congestion, air pollution, and urban fragmentation. Consequently, effective planning of modern cities has become a significant challenge. The conclusion is that community organization, when integrated into sustainable urban mobility public policies through multisectoral governance mechanisms, can significantly contribute to the construction of more sustainable and inclusive cities in Brazil.
