INTERVIEW: Educational processes, culture and education: redrawing the map in dialogue with Maria Elena Gonzalez Alfaya

This is an interview with Professor Maria Elena Gonzalez Alfaya, a professor at the University of Córdoba/Spain, about the project “Córdoba with the Eyes of Childhood”, developed by the Red Infantil Escuela-Centro del Professorado-University/RIECU, which brings together professors from the University of Córdoba in their work with students in teacher training, the Centro de Formación Continuada del Professorado and Early Childhood Education teachers from the Municipality of Córdoba, based on the collaboration between these three teacher training institutions. From this, the “Map of educational experiences: Córdoba with the eyes of childhood” is developed. The conversation, based on the analysis of the experience under debate, reflects on education, culture, differences in the education of children and in the training of their educators, discusses childhoods in their creative potential, in dialogue with cultural artifacts that are given to children to read, which, in an instigating way, problematize them and open up dialogical and intercultural possibilities, implying the proposition of an education with children, as subjects of these processes.
