Abstract

The present article seeks to analyze the resistances that articulate themselves in networks through the construction of plots, that is, a kind of social-spatial weaving, which connects various threads and creates fundamental entanglements for the success of initiatives that contest the deterioration of social relations in the context of a planetary urbanization. We start by examining the spatial practices engendered by the Morro da Providência Residents' Committee. We propose the notion of "resistance plots" as a category of analysis and action - in the sense of political intervention/interpretation in the realm of place - to highlight the necessary multi and trans-scalar networking of actorsand spatial practices of resistance-contestation-emancipation.
