Resumo

Este artigo apresenta alguns aportes iniciais sobre o (re)pensar a centralidade da questão agrária nas histórias e lutas da América Latina passado e presente, a partir do referencial marxiano e marxista. Serão trabalhados três momentos, a saber: 1) Abya Yala x América Latina; 2) América Latina e Estado capitalista dependente; 3) América Latina e as diversas fases da ideologia do desenvolvimento. O objetivo principal é reforçar como a questão agrária sempre esteve no centro da função social que cumpre América Latina e Caribe na dinâmica geral de produção e reprodução do capital, mesmo em tempos de discussões contemporâneas sobre os problemas gerais das paisagens periféricas do século XXI. A pergunta principal do artigo é: se América Latina é uma construção territorial demarcada pela invasão colonial no século XVI, qual a função da questão agrária a partir das lógicas inerentes à dita dinâmica mercantil, ao longo de mais de cinco séculos?

Abstract

This article presents some initial contributions on (re) thinking the centrality of the agrarian question in the histories and struggles of Latin America past and present, from a Marxian and Marxist referential. Three moments will be worked out, namely: 1) Abya Yala x Latin America; 2) Latin America and dependent capitalist state; 3) Latin America and the various phases of the ideology of development. The main objective is to reinforce how the agrarian question has always been at the heart of the social function of Latin America and the Caribbean in the general dynamics of capital production and reproduction, even in times of contemporary discussions about the general problems of the peripheral landscapes of the 21st century. The main question of this text is: If Latin America is a territorial construction demarcated by the colonial invasion in century XVI, what is the function of the agrarian question from the logics inherent in this mercantile dynamics for more than five centuries?
