Studies and Research in Psychology was first published in 2001. It is a journal of the School of Psychology of Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ) – a Brazilian public university – which emphasizes the publication of original articles, research reports, PhD thesis reports and reviews in the field of Psychology and related areas. It also publishes translations of scholarly articles, duly accompanied by the consent of the original publication source, film reviews and interviews that contribute new knowledge and understanding to the area. Studies and Research in Psychology has received A2, a very high rating for a periodical, by the Brazilian Ministry of Education, it adopted from 2024 the system of publication in continuous flow.
