[EM EDIÇÃO] Correlação entre os padrões dermatoglíficos e a gravidade da radiodermatite

Objetivo: avaliar a correlação entre os padrões dermatoglíficos e a gravidade da radiodermatite em pacientes submetidos à radioterapia. Método: Estudo quantitativo, descritivo-analítico e transversal, aprovado por Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa, realizado em um ambulatório de radioterapia no norte do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil com pacientes em tratamento radioterápico, entre maio de 2023 e dezembro de 2024. Coletaram-se dados sociodemográficos, clínicos e dermatoglíficos por meio de questionário, escalas de avaliação da pele, análise das impressões digitais e acompanhamento semanal. A análise utilizou normalidade (Shapiro-Wilk) e homogeneidade (Levene), com significância de p<0,05. Resultados: participaram 172 pacientes, com média de idade de 60,7 anos, com maior média de linhas dermatoglíficas no polegar esquerdo em pacientes com radiodermatite, além de associação entre fototipos de pele clara e maior incidência de toxicidade cutânea.
