[EM EDIÇÃO] "De doctor en doctor": la experiencia vivida en el acceso al diagnóstico de Fibromialgia

Objetivo: comprender la experiencia vivida de mujeres mexicanas en el acceso al diagnóstico de Fibromialgia. Método: estudio cualitativo-fenomenológico en el que mediante muestreo intencional se captó a diez mujeres con diagnóstico de Fibromialgia. Se realizaron entrevistas fenomenológicas a las que después se les aplicó análisis de contenido. Resultados: los itinerarios son largos, violentos y enmarcados en la desesperanza y la culpa. Persisten violencias estructurales que complejizan su acceso. Prevalece en el personal médico miradas patriarcales y colonizantes que asocian la sintomatología a estereotipos sexistas que fortalecen estigmas, sembrando en las mujeres y la sociedad, la idea de que el origen del dolor está en su mente, lo que revictimiza y retrasa el inicio del tratamiento. Consideraciones finales: esta investigación aporta información sobre las deficiencias que existen en el modelo biomédico para diagnosticar la fibromialgia, pero también la ausencia de perspectiva de género para abordar los procesos de salud-enfermedad.
