[EM EDIÇÃO] Atraso vacinal em menores de cinco anos atendidos em ambulatório de puericultura: estudo transversal

Objetivo: analisar os fatores associados ao atraso vacinal em crianças menores de cinco anos assistidas em um ambulatório de puericultura de um hospital universitário. Método: estudo transversal realizado com cuidadores das crianças em 2024. Os dados foram coletados com um questionário estruturado e o instrumento Atitude de Pais sobre a Vacinação Infantil. As variáveis analisadas foram sociodemográficas, acesso à saúde e atitudes hesitantes. Empregado estatísticas descritivas e testes bivariados, com Regressão de Poisson para identificar preditores do atraso vacinal. Estudo aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética da instituição envolvida. Resultados: Participaram 136 cuidadores, 49,3% das crianças estavam com atraso vacinal. O principal motivo para o atraso foi relacionado a conveniência (63,5%). Houve associação significativa entre atraso vacinal e o sexo masculino, crianças com até 12 meses, histórico de atraso vacinal e pais hesitantes. Conclusão: O atraso vacinal foi associado a fatores biológicos, histórico de atraso e hesitação dos pais.
