O presente estudo teve como objetivos descrever pacientes submetidos à hemodiálise no município de Guarapuava – Paraná, entre dezembro de 2004 a fevereiro de 2005, segundo características sociodemográficas e clínicas, e impacto da condição crônica e tratamento em sua qualidade de vida. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, cuja coleta dos dados foi realizada em prontuários, complementadas com entrevista, e mediante aplicação do instrumento SF-36 em 60 pacientes durante sessões de hemodiálise em uma clínica do município. As respostas ao SF-36 apresentaram-se consistentes (αmin=0,68 e αmáx=0,96), exceto para o domínio estado geral da saúde (α = 0,49). Os resultados mostraram que o grupo estudado apresentou valores medianos inferiores a 75% em quatro dos domínios estudados. Conclui-se que intervenções da equipe multidisciplinar são necessárias, visto que o tratamento dos pacientes com insuficiência renal crônica não visa somente proporcionar sua sobrevivência, mas também maximizar a reabilitação e a qualidade de vida.
ABSTRACT
This study aimed to describe patients undergoing hemodialysis in Guarapuava - Paraná, between December 2004 and February 2005 in accordance with sociodemographic and clinical characteristics and impact of chronic conditions and their treatment in their quality life. This was a cross-sectional study, which collects data from medical records was performed, supplemented by interview and by applying the SF-36 in 60 patientes during hemodialysis at a clinic in the city. Responses to the SF-36 is consistent (αmin = 0.68 and αmax = 0.96), except for the domain General Health (α = .49). The results showed that the group studied showed median values lower than 75% in four of the areas studied. It is believed that interventions are necessary, the multidisciplinary team, as the treatment of patients with chronic renal insufficiency is not intended to provide only their survival but also to maximize the rehabilitation and quality of life.
RESUMEN
Este estudio tuvo como objetivos describir pacientes sometidos a hemodiálisis en Guarapuava-Paraná-Brasil, entre diciembre de 2004 y febrero de 2005, con características sociodemográficas y clínicas, y el impacto de las enfermedades crónicas y su tratamiento en su calidad de vida. Estudio transversal, que recoge datos de las historias clínicas, complementada con entrevistas con la aplicación de SF-36 en 60 pacientes durante la hemodiálisis en una clínica de la ciudad. Las respuestas al cuestionario SF-36 es compatible (αmin = 0,68 y máximo α = 0,96), excepto para el dominio general de la salud (α = 0,49). Los resultados mostraron que el grupo estudiado presentó valores medios inferiores a 75% en cuatro de las áreas estudiadas. Se concluye que intervenciones del equipo multidisciplinario son necesarias pues que el tratamiento de las pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica no mira solamente proporcionar su sobrevivir, pero también maximizar la rehabilitación y La calidad de vida.
