Educação permanente à distância sobre a prevenção de úlcera por pressão [Distance continuing education on prevention of pressure ulcer]

Objetivos: deste estudo foram construir e avaliar um programa de educação permanente à distância sobre a prevenção de úlcera por pressão. Método: a pesquisa é aplicada e os dados foram coletados no período de agosto a outubro de 2011. Para a construção e avaliação do programa, seguiu as fases de desenho educacional, modelagem computacional, implementação do ambiente e avaliação ergonômica e pedagógica. O programa foi hospedado no ambiente virtual de aprendizagem do Moddle. Resultados: As avaliações ergonômicas e pedagógicas realizadas pelos especialistas em informática (n=10) e úlcera por pressão (n=11) apontaram resultados satisfatórios e os itens que necessitavam de ajustes foram revisados. Conclusão: Os recursos da educação à distância possibilitaram a construção de um programa de educação permanente, que pode ser acessado em qualquer tempo e lugar, e que contribuirá para a capacitação de enfermeiros sobre prevenção de úlcera por pressão.
ABSTRACT
Objective: to develop and evaluate a distance continuing professional development (CPD) program on prevention of pressure ulcers. Method: this is an applied study. Data were collected from August to October 2011. The program, hosted in a Moodle virtual learning environment, was developed and evaluated in the following stages: educational design, computational modeling, environment implementation, and ergonomic and pedagogical evaluation. Results: ergonomic and pedagogical assessments by specialists in IT (n=10) and pressure ulcers (n=11) showed satisfactory results; items needing adjustment were reviewed. Conclusion: distance education resources made it possible to develop a CPD program that can be accessed anywhere and at any time, and will contribute to nurses’ training in preventing pressure ulcers.
RESUMEN
Objetivo: desarrollar y evaluar un programa de educación continuada a distancia sobre la prevención de las úlceras por presión. Método: los datos de la investigación aplicada fueron recolectados entre agosto y octubre de 2011. Para la construcción y evaluación del programa se siguieron las fases del diseño educacional, modelado computacional, implementación del ambiente y evaluación ergonómica y pedagógica. El programa fue alojado en el ambiente virtual de aprendizaje de Moodle. Resultados: las evaluaciones ergonómicas y pedagógicas llevadas a cabo por especialistas en informática (n=10) y úlceras por presión (n=11) mostraron resultados satisfactorios y se han revisado los ítems que necesitaban ajustes. Conclusión: Los recursos de la educación a distancia permitieron desarrollar un programa de educación continuada, al que se puede acceder a cualquier momento y lugar, y que contribuirá a la formación de los enfermeros en cuanto a la prevención de úlceras por presión.
