This qualitative study aimed to identify, in the perceptions of personnel in the service network, elements that contribute to addressing violence against women. Personnel from 17 services in Salvador-Bahia were interviewed in 2010 using a semi-structured script. In the respondents’ perceptions, addressing violence against women hinges on: liaison with other services to ensure that women’s diverse demands are met; an institutional work dynamics with human resources that understand the other services and the network’s role, and are not overloaded, thus allowing inter-sector communication to design the network; and financial support for women. These results underline the importance of networked services to empower women to combat violence.
