O contexto brasileiro de inserção das enfermeiras na assistência ao parto humanizado

No Brasil, a partir dos anos 90, ganha força o movimento pela humanização do parto que influenciou a prática de muitas enfermeiras na assistência ao parto. Ao incorporarem em seu discurso os ideários deste movimento, as enfermeiras ganharam poder e autonomia no campo obstétrico. Este estudo objetivou discutir em qual contexto político e econômico a enfermeira ocupou espaços na assistência ao parto. Trata-se de um artigo de revisão realizada na Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde utilizando os termos política neoliberal e política de saúde. Identificamos que o contexto neoliberal globalizado favoreceu a inserção da enfermeira na assistência ao parto, uma vez que sua prática estava de acordo com o ideário de Estado mínimo e apresentava características esperadas para o trabalhador dentro da lógica da reestruturação produtiva. Concluímos que a enfermeira, ao incorporar os princípios da humanização, atendeu aos requisitos para atuar dentro da política neoliberal brasileira num mundo globalizado.Downloads
