Objetivo: conhecer a rede de apoio a pessoas com deficiência física que residiam em um município do sul do Brasil. Método: trata- -se de um estudo qualitativo, descritivo, realizado de maio a setembro de 2014. A coleta de dados foi realizada com 10 pessoas com deficiência que residiam em um município do Sul do Brasil, mediante entrevistas semi-estruturadas e posteriormente, procedeu-se à análise de conteúdo direcionada dos depoimentos, conforme as funções da rede de Sluzki. Teve aprovação do Comitê de Ética sob parecer nº 216.396. Resultados: a rede de suporte é formada por familiares e profissionais de saúde, com diferentes níveis de proximidade. Os tipos de suporte oferecidos foram: companhia social/apoio social, apoio emocional, guia cognitivo, ajuda material e de serviços e acesso a novos contatos. Conclusão: foi possível identificar a rede de apoio das pessoas com deficiência física, notando-se que ela atenua as limitações impostas pela deficiência.
ABSTRACT
Objective: to identify the social support networks of people with physical disabilities living in a city in southern Brazil. Method: in this exploratory, qualitative, descriptive study, data was collected from May to September 2014 by semi-structured interviews of 10 disabled persons, and their statements were then subjected to directed content analysis based on the network functions described by Sluzki. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee (No. 216.396). Results: the social support networks comprised family members and health professionals at differing levels of proximity. The types of support offered were: company/social support, emotional support, cognitive guidance, material and service assistance, and access to new contacts. Conclusion: it was possible to identify the social support networks of people with physical disabilities, and they were found to attenuate the limitations imposed by the disability.
RESUMEN
Objetivo: conocer la red de apoyo a personas con discapacidad física que viven en un municipio en el sur de Brasil. Método: se trata de un estudio cualitativo y descriptivo, puesto en marcha de mayo a septiembre de 2014. La recolección de datos fue realizada junto a 10 personas con discapacidad que vivían en una ciudad del sur de Brasil a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas. Posteriormente, se efectuará el análisis de contenido de las declaraciones, según las funciones de la red de Sluzki. Obtuvo aprobación del Comité de Ética bajo el dictamen nº 216.396. Resultados: La red de apoyo está formada por miembros de la familia y profesionales de salud con diferentes niveles de proximidad. Los tipos de apoyo ofrecidos fueron: compañía social/apoyo social, apoyo emocional, guía cognitivo, ayuda material y de servicios y acceso a nuevos contactos. Conclusión: fue posible identificar la red de apoyo de las personas con discapacidad física, observándose que ella atenúa las limitaciones impuestas por la discapacidad.
