Objetivo: identificar o enfoque da produção científica relacionada ao ensino do tema segurança do paciente nos cursos de graduação da área da saúde. Método: estudo bibliométrico realizado por meio de busca on-line nas bases de dados PUBMED, CINAHL e LILACS, considerando a literatura produzida entre 2010 e 2014. Resultados: foram identificados para amostra final 52 estudos, sendo a maioria (27; 52%) proveniente da base PUBMED e dos Estados Unidos (35; 67,3%). O ano com maior número de publicações foi o de 2011, sendo que as categorias temáticas mais encontradas nos estudos foram definição de segurança do paciente e melhorias de segurança relacionadas às medicações, com estudos de abordagem quantitativa (32; 61,5%). Doze (36,4%) períodicos foram específicos da área da enfermagem. Conclusão: os resultados evidenciaram a importância da identificação da produção científica sobre a temática e da divulgação do conhecimento.
ABSTRACT
Objective: to identify the approach of scientific production on patient safety in undergraduate courses in the health field. Method: an online bibliometric search was conducted in the PUBMED, CINAHL and LILACS databases, for publications from 2010 to 2014. Results: 52 studies were identified for the final sample, most in PUBMED (27, 5.0%) and from the United States (35; 67.3%). The year with the highest number of publications was 2011, and the most frequent thematic categories were definition of patient safety and improvements in drug-related safety, on a quantitative approach (32; 61.5%). Twelve (36.4%) journals were specific to nursing. Conclusion: the results highlighted the importance of identifying scientific production on the subject and of spreading that knowledge.

Objetivo: iidentificar el enfoque de la producción científica relacionada a la enseñanza acerca del tema Seguridad del paciente, en cursos de pregrado del área de la salud. Método: estudio bibliométrico realizado por medio de la búsqueda on-line en las bases de datos PUBMED, CINAHL y LILACS, considerando la literatura producida entre 2010 y 2014. Resultados: para la muestra final, fueron identificados 52 estudios, siendo la mayoría (27; 52%) originarios de PUBMED y de los Estados Unidos (35; 67,3%). El año con el mayor número de publicaciones fue el de 2011, siendo que las categorías temáticas más frecuentes en los estudios fueron: definición de la seguridad del paciente y mejoramiento de la seguridad relacionada a las medicaciones, con estudios de enfoque cuantitativo (32; 61,5%). Doce (36,4%) periódicos eran específicos del área de enfermería. Conclusión: los resultados evidenciaron la importancia de la identificación de la producción científica sobre el tema y de la divulgación del conocimiento.
