As condições de trabalho e o mundo da vida de motoristas de ônibus: estudo fenomenológico [The working conditions and the lifeworld of bus drivers: phenomenological study]

Objetivo: descrever as percepções de motoristas de ônibus no leste do Estado do Rio de Janeiro quanto às possíveis melhorias para a condição do trabalho. Método: estudo qualitativo, descritivo, realizado entre em 2014, com 16 motoristas de ônibus, utilizando-se a técnica de entrevista semiestruturada. A análise das unidades de significados foi subsidiada pela fenomenologia de Merleau-Ponty. A pesquisa obteve aprovação no Comitê de Ética e Pesquisa (CAAE nº 19593513.2.0000.5243). Resultados: os motoristas destacam o relacionamento interpessoal como fator importante para ter um bom dia de trabalho. A percepção do seu mundo da vida se dá a partir de suas condições sócio-históricas, existenciais. Também estão ligadas às condições econômicas e de subsistência relativas ao trabalho e renda. Conclusão: considerar a percepção do motorista significa valoriza-lo não apenas como profissional, mas também como parte principal para o serviço e ser protagonista em seu mundo da vida.
ABSTRACT
Objective: to describe the perceptions of bus drivers in the east of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, about possible improvements to their work condition. Method: qualitative, descriptive study conducted in 2014, with 16 bus drivers, using a semi-structured interview technique. Data analysis was carried out by meaning units supported by the Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology. The study was approved by the Ethics and Research Committee (CAAE No 19593513.2.0000.5243). Results: drivers highlight the interpersonal relationship as an important factor to have a good working day. Their perception of their lifeworld is given from their socio-historical, existential conditions. They are also linked to economic and livelihood on working and income. Conclusion: to take the driver’s perception under consideration means to value them not only as a professional but also as the main part for the service as well as to see them as protagonists in their lifeworld.
RESUMEN
Objetivo: describir las percepciones de los conductores de autobuses en Río de Janeiro, Brasil, sobre posibles mejoras a su condición de trabajo. Método: estudio cualitativo y descriptivo realizado en 2014, con 16 conductores de autobuses, mediante técnica de entrevista semi-estructurada. El análisis de los datos se llevó a cabo mediante unidades de significado apoyadas por la fenomenología de Merleau-Ponty. El estudio fue aprobado por el Comité de Ética e Investigación (CAAE 19593513.2.0000.5243). Resultados: los conductores destacan la relación interpersonal como un factor importante para tener un buen día de trabajo y su percepción de su mundo de vida se da a partir de sus condiciones socio-históricas, existenciales. También están relacionados con la economía y los medios de vida sobre el trabajo y los ingresos. Conclusión: considerar la percepción del conductor significa valorarlos no sólo como profesionales, sino también como la parte principal del servicio, así como para verlos como protagonistas en su mundo de vida.
