ABSTRACT: This paper aims at thinking over the body as guideline for the teaching-learning process in nursing under the light of the complexity theory. The complexity paradigm proposes a liberating education because it improves daily reflection, questioning, and social transformation. The body takes a leading role in contemporary society as it inscribes primary social extremes: narcissism, egocentrism, alienation, rationality, inhumanity, and others. Nursing should take account of the condition of object producing the body in modern society to approach integrative practices on higher ethical and humanized grounds.
