Open Access Policy

Revista Enfermagem UERJ is an open access scientific journal, which means that all content is available for free, at no cost to the user or his/her institution. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link the full texts of articles or use them for any other legal purpose without requesting prior permission from the Editor or author. This statement is aligned with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.

Revista Enfermagem UERJ receives, for evaluation, manuscripts previously made available in preprint repositories, such as SciELO Preprints, OSFPreprints, SSRN among others, and supports the open science policy with the deposit of data in national and international repository banks (Open Data Repositories, such as Figshare, Data Dryad, Harvard Dataverse Network, Network Data Exchange, Open Science Framework, Zenodo, among others).
Furthermore, since 2019, the responsible Associate Editors have been identifiable to authors during the editorial flow of submissions and have their names published alongside accepted articles. From 2024 onwards, the opening and publication of opinions issued will be adopted, maintaining the anonymity of the Ad-Hoc Consultants involved in the process.
