About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Journal Contexto Jurídico is produced by students from the UERJ Law School for the academic publication of undergraduate work.

Peer Review Process

The evaluation method adopted by the journal is the double-blind review. All submitted articles and reviews will be assigned a number, and an identical document with all author identifications removed will be generated and sent for review. The goal is to ensure complete impartiality.

The team will assign the articles to reviewers based on the document's category and the reviewer’s area of expertise. All articles will be reviewed by two reviewers (without knowledge of each other), and at the end of the review period, they must submit a completed Evaluation Form. Articles and reviews will be assessed according to the criteria outlined below and may be selected in one of the following ways: (i) fully accepted documents; (ii) rejected documents; and (iii) conditionally accepted documents.

Once the article is corrected, it must be resubmitted by the author to the journal through the internal system within the deadline for returning corrected documents. The identities of the individuals responsible for content review will not be disclosed.

In the event of two conflicting reviews, the manuscript will be forwarded to a third evaluator. If the third review is positive, the submission will be accepted; if the third review is negative, the submission will not be accepted.
