Graphic Representation for Synthesis is a type of collaborative drawing in which students discuss and represent theoretical content. In this study, we aim to understand how drawing and dialogue are interrelated during GRS production process. In order to achieve such, data gathering involved process reports (produced by students themselves) and participatory observation to validate different types of drawing-dialogue relationship in loco. Our results revealed 4 types of relationships that are interconnected in different ways: dialogue for drawing, dialogue with drawing support, dialogue through drawing and dialogue about drawing.
