Digital immortality refers to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to create digital representations of deceased individuals. This technology allows for the cloning of the image and voice of educational personalities, enabling their use in the classroom. In this context, the article aims to survey seven digital representations of deceased educational personalities and analyze how these representations can influence the educational environment. The results and discussions were supported by a methodological approach that combined documentary analysis and literature review of authors such as Beppu et al. (2021), Galvão et al. (2021), Gere (2008), Kovács (2021), Lévy (1999), Trevisan (2024), Vygotsky (1996, 1998), and Zuin and Zuin (2020). The analyses and reflections revealed that, although digital immortality can enrich learning with new forms of interaction and engagement, it also brings forth ethical, pedagogical, human, and technological implications that need to be addressed. It was concluded that the regulation of AI is necessary to ensure these implications are properly considered, and educational institutions should develop policies that promote meaningful human interactions. This article contributes to the construction of guidelines that ensure the integrity of digital representations and respect for the memory of educational personalities.
